New Closet

This has been our closet - an absolute disaster. It must have been incredibly short people that built it because our clothes drag on the ground. There aren't many shelves, so things are stacked awkwardly. I had to add more shelves for my shoes. It wasn't pretty.

Then, a couple weeks ago we woke up to Tyler clothes on the ground. The rod had fallen and remained on the floor.

We got some bids and decided to redo our closet!!! I emptied out the clothes and shoes and everything and stacked them in the bathtub. Yes, there is a bathtub under there. I probably should have put a bucket under the faucet just in case a shoe snagged on the handle and turned on the water.

So on Monday we tore out the shelves. I must say it was a great stress reliever. You really had to swing the hammer to knock them down. I puttied up the nail holes, sanded the edges and painted over the white spots. I was so sore by the end of this all I wanted to do was take a bath, but it was full.

Yesterday I painted the closet yellow. Then today the real fun began. The closet guys came and installed our new closets. We have a TON more storage which will be so nice. We even have shelves just for shoes {on the right}. I love the yellow and white. I really don't want to put clothes in here because I don't think it will be as pretty and clean.
